I’ve been working as an independent consultant since 1998. For more than 20 years, I have been improving human resources communications: first for a Fortune 500 company, then as a practice leader in a national human resources consulting firm. I have degrees in education and a master’s degree in business.
My career includes jobs as HR specialist, benefits manager, HR director, and communications practice leader. I formed the consulting firm’s first HR compliance consulting practice.
Most often, clients hire me to expand the capabilities of their existing HR group. When desirable, I can tap into my network of remarkable graphic designers, image and audio production pros as well as healthcare, compensation and OD consultants to offer more extensive service.
I enjoy being a part of a team that wants to have a focused, collaborative and trustworthy work environment. The work that I’ve been associated with has received more than 50 local, regional and national awards for communications excellence. I am a recipient SHRM’s award for creative applications in human resources.
Since 2004 I’ve worked on documentary film production and have received one Cine Golden Eagle Award and two Emmy awards. At any time you may find me working on at least one other project that puts St. Louis and the surrounding area in the spotlight. I am grateful for the recognition of such work which reflects positively on our community.
I live in St. Louis, Missouri with my husband, three sons and a big, lovable dog. Youth In Need, a nonprofit organization that serves more than 10,000 Missourians each year, is my favorite charity.
